DADBA (www.dadba.org) transitions to DBA (www.DownriverBusinessAssociation.com)

Dear DADBA Members,

When our group was created in 2005, we invited businesses from the Downriver and Detroit area to join. What has resulted after fourteen years is that Downriver businesses have fully embraced our networking group. While contemplating our own marketing plan for 2019, we decided it’s time to change our name to reflect our membership.

Our new name DBA (Downriver Business Association) will incorporate all the things you liked about DADBA while also changing to meet the needs of changing business in our region. We plan to offer a new business book club, a women’s group and if there is a need, a men’s group to focus on the niche organizations within our ranks.

With your DBA membership you will still benefit from breakfast, lunch or dinner monthly networking events, community / business expos, online advertising and we will add much more in 2019 to support your business. We will continue to offer a sense of community and camaraderie – our Members are not only fellow business owners but your neighbors! Supporting our local business community and spending our money with them will continue to help to create more jobs within the community.

Members who have already renewed with DADBA, you will automatically renew on your anniversary date for your newly transformed DBA membership! Thank you for your on-going support, we hope you like the new look and feel of our Downriver Business Association.

Have a Wonderful Holiday!

Laura Fennell

Trenton Educational Foundation was established in 2008 by a group of community leaders who recognized that the quality of an educational system, and the vitality of the community it serves, are intertwined. These residents want to ensure the continued success of our current students, as well as that of future generations. The Foundation’s mission is to help achieve and maintain an extra margin of excellence by employing private resources to supplement traditional school funding.

Our focus is on encouraging excellence through creative teaching, facilitating student development, and fostering community/school partnerships. The Foundation will fund major projects, but it also will enable faculty members to undertake a number of innovative classroom projects at all grade levels by awarding numerous “mini” and “collaborative” grants. Funds from the Foundation will be used to support six core areas of education.
